Незаконченные предложения.... попробуй подойти с другого конца (почему москвичи не включают фантазию?) поищи наративный анализ!!! Почти всегда начинается с незаконченнх предложений (или сочинений) и вперед и с песней! Я проводила незаконченные предложения с точки зрения копинг стратегий....

Subjective Complaints, Verbal Fluency, and Working Memory in Mild Multiple Sclerosis

Abstract:

Patients with mild multiple sclerosis (MS) regularly report subjective complaints characterized by generalized cognitive inefficiency. A feature of these complaints is reduced verbal fluency, for example, losing the thread of conversation. Mild MS patients and controls were compared on subjective complaints, verbal fluency, and working memory, and the possible role of working memory was investigated. As predicted, subjective difficulties and verbal fluency each correlated with working memory. Subjective difficulties and verbal fluency were also related. Within the control group, the subjective difficulties were associated only with depression. On the other hand, in the MS group, subjective difficulties were unrelated to affective state but were correlated with working memory. For the patients, partialing out depression and anxiety did not influence any of the correlations involving subjective difficulties, verbal fluency, or working memory. These findings support the proposal that working memory impairment underlies subjective complaints of mild MS patients and that verbal dysfluency is part and parcel of this phenomenon.

Abstract
Studies in individualism/collectivism (Triandis, McCusker & Hui, 1990) have revealed a considerable cultural connotation of the phenomena. The aim of our investigation was to develop a cross-culturally equivalent psychometric instrument for measuring individualistic versus collectivistic orientation on the basis of the shared representation of individualism/collectivism among Bulgarians. By applying the psychosemantic methodology we extracted seven concepts which form the individualism/collectivism dimension. The proposed instrument, labelled Bulgarian individualism/collectivism (BIC) scale, consists of a preference choice between the two words in every possible pair of the seven words. Validation studies included investigation of the relationship between the BIC scale and value orientation, between the BIC scale and general views of society and political preferences, and between the BIC scale and behavioural intentions such as the intention to start a business of one's own, the intention to emigrate, and the choice of professional vocation. Results were compared with the relationship of these variables to other measures of individualism/collectivism (scales of Triandis and Brown). The results suggest that the BIC scale reveals a more global orientation, whereas the other scales are concerned with specific everyday behaviours. A comparison between Bulgarian and American samples revealed some specificity in the Bulgarian social representation of individualism/collectivism, which can be explained by the extremely collectivistic norms of the former communist society in Bulgaria.

The Impact of Modified Instructions on Ego-Level Scores: A Psychometric Hazard or Indication of Optimal Ego Level?

Various modified instructions have different effects on the Washington University Sentence Completion Test for Ego Development (Loevinger, 1985). These effects were reviewed and 2 alternative explanations were explored: The "measurement unreliability explanation" versus the "optimal level explanation." Both explanations were systematically studied in 2 test-retest experiments with the Sentence Completion Test for Children and Youths (Westenberg, Treffers, & Drewes, 1998). The modified instructions were to make a favorable impression on the tester ("fake good" condition) or to complete the sentences in as adult and mature a manner as one can ("be mature" condition). Both experiments were conducted with 9- to 15-year-old children and adolescents (N = 127, 128). As was anticipated, neither the fake good nor the be mature condition yielded higher (or lower) reliability indexes as compared to the standard instructions, hence discounting the measurement unreliability explanation. Also as expected, the fake good condition did not yield significantly higher ego-level scores, whereas the be mature condition did yield significantly higher ego-level scores. The former instructions did not convey information relevant to the construct or measure of ego development, whereas the latter instructions did convey information relevant for raising ego-level scores. It is argued that the higher scores under the be mature instructions might reflect the respondents' "optimal" ego level (best functioning), whereas the ego-level score under the standard instructions might reflect their "functional" level (normal functioning).
